With the warmer spring weather creeping up on us things are finally starting to happen in our Spring Patch.
Our four tubs of spuds (each holding four buried tubers) have been growing like crazy.
they seem to grow quicker than we can cover them!!
Unlike the spuds the rest of the patch has taken the cold weather to heart and continues to plod along.....
Amongst the slow but steady growth we have found tomatoes, peas, beets, watermelon, spinach and marigolds.
Strangely though the warmer weather has seen a bit of a rejuvenation in the winter patch......
The broad beans are re-flowering and the cauliflowers are quickly becoming the big stars of the patch!!
Sadly the weather change has also bought a sly green-munching ????
I would love to hear any tips you have for preventing this devastation......
Where was our trusty puppy during this unsolicited attack?? mmmmmmm....
;)

yummo! try putting some coffee grounds around them, works a treat to dissuade snails and slugs. and no poisons to boot!
oh that's a fabulous tip from Cherry Rockette - I'm going do the same. (Fortunately we have quite a few coffee grounds in this household).
I love the look of your garden. I've just posted about our potato harvest. Yummo!

yummo, can't wait to try some of those delicious purple spuds... They'd be a hoot for the kids at halloween if they were ready..
