When one of my fave breastfeeding mama's emailed suggesting morning tea/baby play date it was the perfect opportunity to try out my "Milk Cookie" recipe. That's right ....... I whipped up a big batch of lactation boosting biccies and they were surprisingly delicious even the kids loved them.
During our last mama-visit my boys entertained me by turning into cranky little devils. So I spent the early morning secretly hoping this time around things would be a little calmer........ however the old saying "...be careful what you wish for...." was never more true. My boys may have been unsettled during our last visit but they were angels for the rest of the day. So of course this time around they flipped it on me so I had a lovely visit and a crazy afternoon......mmmmm!!
Anyway back to my mama date.....
We ate biccies (boosting our supply like good mama's), talked about all the important issues, babes, knitting, tea, thrifting and chocolate all the while watching as the toddlers enjoyed this little handmade treasures.......
After the mama-date I got to thinking about how I have been keeping my active boy busy during this crazy February weather......
Family bingo..... with pictures of brothers, cousins, aunties, uncles, nans and pops....
Bingo..... with common letters, shapes and colours.
Everyone's fave button sorting......
and when all else fails........ make shaving foam shapes and tracks in the bath and let them go crazy......
Not only does this activity occupy time and use energy but the kids actually get a kick out of cleaning the bath and themselves for you after....bonus......lol.

i'm not sure what my favourite feb activity would be - i've really enjoyed preserving and making jam etc...
i love the fact that february is so hot that you just have to slow down and do very little - it's like you have a legitimate excuse to be lazy :)
